Jackson spent the week of June 8 @ Scout Camp @ St. Philip church in Lakeland. He had such a great time working on bows and arrows (photo), BB gun shooting, water games and other activities. I took Friday off work to join him. I have to admit the heat bothered me a lot more than it did him, but I loved spending the day with him.
We finished in time to pick up Wilson at school and get home before the big storm. In fact, the boys were in the tub when I realized how bad the storm was, so I got them out and dressed in the hallway. We listened to our battery operated radio when the power went out and we were glad the weather cleared enough for us to go to church for the movie. I was surprised the power was not restored when we got back, but fortunately we weren't too hot that night and it came back the next day by noon.
