Haircuts!

The boys got haircuts this AM. Both went a little shorter than usual, but I think they look great. And here's my proof.

For those keeping up with how Wilson sleeps: I changed his crib to a toddler bed yesterday. He's still sleeping with Tigger and Curious George, but now he puts them in the corners of his bed (see Sick Day entry for background). He wasn't too happy with me in this photo.

When they get quiet...

This is a makeup entry from last weekend. Jackson had a friend over and they were playing in the backyard. Wilson was inside with me. Then I realized...I couldn't hear anyone! Every parent knows this means trouble. When they get quiet, they are into something. So off I went to search. Wilson was in Jackson's room lining up these cars with such care that I just let him finish. He was so earnest about it (I love that quality, and that's part of the reason I love his middle name) and was enjoying himself so much. This photo is the final result, and although I am clearly biased, I don't mind saying it's impressive.

With one down and Jackson to go, I look out the back door. Jackson heard me coming and posed. Is there a scholarship for goofy?

Brunch with our buddies.

Jackson lost another tooth on Saturday. We were at church when he became hysterical. I saw blood but it took me a minute to figure out what was going on. Once he settled down and found the tooth, he said "Hey mom! Why'd you slap that tooth out of my head?!" I had not touched him, but there was nothing I could say that wouldn't make me sound like Mommy Dearest. Nothing like having kids to knock you down a few notches. Stuff like this doesn't happen when you are hanging out watching football at home. We go the "high drama" route instead.

This weekend we went with several friends to brunch at the Peabody. It's a neat experience, but the best part was being with our friends (and the food was good!). All that food and excitement helped the boys sleep very well last night. Wilson slept 12 hours and Jackson slept almost 11 hours.

silly kids

Two pics I like from the last couple of weeks.
